Choice and Safety

Standard 2 – Promoting Individual Choice and Safety

Sterling Meadows is a secured community, staffed with qualified personnel 24 hours a day and a specially designed security system, “silent night.”  Community members will gain access to their private living quarters, with specially designed, easy to use key-less entry.  Community members will have a choice of floor plans that include a studio apartment, one bedroom or deluxe one bedroom suite, with custom designed baths.  While most residents provide their own furniture, Sterling Meadows makes available a furniture package custom designed for your preferred floor plan.

All apartments will have individually controlled heat and air conditioned units for your personal comfort.  Each floor has a laundry area for residents to utilize or personal laundry services are provided if you wish.  Each living space is designed with an emergency call system for added peace of mind.

Your individual choice and safety are priority to us at Sterling Meadows; therefore we want to provide you with the comforts of your own home as well as added security of having help when you need it.  You will have the choice to visit with friends or family in the great room, enjoy a planned daily activity, work in the garden, or just relax with a good book in your own apartment.  Residents can enjoy three meals a day in the dining room, your private living quarters with friends or family, or the private dining room.  The choices are yours, just as they were at home.

Employees will be carefully assessed and selected to ensure that they are safe, caring individuals that share the same philosophy of exceptional service that Sterling Meadows requires.  Complete criminal background checks, drug testing and Kentucky Nurse Aid Abuse Registry checks are completed prior to employment at Sterling Meadows.

Employees are required to attend extensive training prior to employment at Sterling Meadows.  Annual in-service training is required by all staff to continue employment.  Staff training will include the following, but will not be limited to:

  • Client rights
